Sunday the wind was blowing and my cap just wouldn't have done the job, I needed the extra warmth of my rather outrageous furry hat complete with pompoms which I stole from B. Despite the derision from my friends standing out from the crowd meant they could easily spot me in amongst all the people down at the RWC Fanzone. Others who don't or didn't mind standing out from the crowd are Daphne, Isabella and Audrey and they can't be wrong. Currently I am coveting a pair of Mouseketeer ears (for formal/black tie events).

For those of us who need a little more motivation to exercise see if this helps. Boomeranging is a particuarly ladylike sport as in theory one doesn't even have to move.

Sit down and shut up

I seem to have strayed from looking for new outdoor furniture into looking at chairs for the lounge. It's so much more interesting. I am especially drawn to the suitcase seats. The next time someone tells me to sit down and shut up I can just pack my bag and go.

Fine dining with the Finch

Fine dining means different things to different people, to me it means eating exactly what you want, where you want, with who you want. Thanks for the lovely dinner at Case del Finch I can't believe we didn't eat all the biscuits.

Viv's way 2012

My love affair with Westwood will never end. Vivienne is the queen of doing it her way. And next time I am out celebrating an All Black or Irish win in the RWC (I am very patriotic but the Irish still have the best parties) I shall shout Viva la Viv as I strut out of the house wearing the flag in my hair.

Ever since my dad bought me a half barrel of mixed cymbidium orchids, his neighbour was a commercial grower, I have been besotted by them. They are beautiful, timeless, structural and deceivingly tough and they need to be in my house.

I can never get enough denim but last week as usual I overbooked myself, so didn't make it down to the the Levis popup store opening. I'll be making a point of taking the dog for a walk down there soon (see multitasking). Luckily the lads from Four Eyes caught all the fun, check out their blog.

 Finally made it down to MacPro @ Britomart to replenish my eyeshadow pallet and came out with just a few things that weren't on the list oops. My justification was that it took a half hour to find a park so I had better stock up.

Springing it on us

With such nice weather for the last week I've started thinking about getting back into my summer favourites. I'll miss my furs, my chunky scarves and my cosy jumpers but I'm hanging out to get back into my sequins, sunglasses and chiffon and spend lazy days BBQing.
